_{Festival of small forms of performing arts}

_{Program of the 𝟏st 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 brings plays of the three authors who, through various performance forms, address the topics of historically inscribed meanings of the female body and life transitions such as birth and death. Vocally, physically and dramatically, the three authors create a set that tangibly and inexhaustibly, vividly and intimately dissolves the questions of this world and the other world, time and space.
By portraying life through the fine, thin threads that precede and follow it, in an abstract way, the social issue of collective fear of death is encouraged and re-examines birth as the greatest and first act of life. What is the transformative power of the physical and what are its limits? Is there life outside our body? It may continue through an out-of-body voice or cry. Which is the first and which is the final life act? Where is the transition between the afterlife and the life we ​​know? What is death from the perspective of life?
We may not be ready to face these questions and seek answers.
Accidentally or intentionally from the position of a woman, the first edition of the Format festival opens a dialogue with the theme of life's struggle from the very beginning to death.
The festival program also includes a three-day 𝑚𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑐𝑙𝑎𝑠𝑠 of contemporary dance open to the public, which will be led by choreographer, dancer and multimedia artist Matea Bilosnić together with her colleague Nataša Kustura, a member of the Zadar Dance Ensemble.
There will also be a reading of the dramatic text by Katarina Baretić in collaboration with the students of the Academy of Arts in Split, under the mentorship of prof. Bruno Bebić. Katarina Baretić's dramatic text came from last year's DRAMMA residency, which was carried out in cooperation with the Hvar City Library and Reading Room.
